DETERMINASI FAKTOR PENYELESAIAN SKRIPSI MAHASISWA TADRIS BAHASA INGGRIS STAI RASYIDIYAH KHALIDYAH AMUNTAI

Abstract


The Tadris English Department (TBI) STAI RAKHA Amuntai focuses on research methodology courses and seminars to be oriented towards thesis research. So students are expected to be able to complete the thesis with fast time, good quality and good grades. This study aims to determine with certainty the factors that influence the completion of the thesis of Tadris English Language students (TBI STAI RAKHA Amuntai) so that they can provide input to improvements to the subjects and standard procedures for completion of student thesis. So that the thesis can be taken in a short time with quality results. This research uses sequential explanatory design which is a combination research method that combines quantitative and qualitative research methods sequentially Data analysis techniques with Linear regression analysis and qualitative descriptive The research results are 1) Research methodology skills have a positive and significant effect on thesis completion; 2) Seminar skills have a positive and significant effect on thesis completion; 3) The methodology and seminar skills together have a positive and significant effect on the completion of the thesis that is equal to Y = 64.713 + 0.089 MetPen + 0.173 Seminar.; 4) The methodology and seminar skills affect the completion of the thesis, because the two courses equip students to be able to do the thesis properly and appropriately; 5) Other factors that influence the completion of the thesis are time management of writing, intensity of guidance, discipline, responsibility, journal review, and data analysis skills; and 6) Dominant factors that hamper the completion of student thesis are laziness, work, difficulty in formulating problems, data analysis, lack of intensity of relationship with pembembing lecturers, and a weak grand theory due to lack of reading the latest journals.
