Pengembangan Multimedia Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab untuk Siswa Madrasah

Abstract


The research aims to produce a feasible Arabic instructional multimedia for tenth grade of Madrasah Aliyah. This research is a research and development with stages: (1) needs analysis, (2) instructional design, (3) product development, (4) validation, (5) media evaluation, and (6) the final product. Validation process was conducted by a material expert and a media expert. Subjects were first semester of tenth grade students of State Madrasah Aliyah 2 Amuntai amounting to 40 students. One students for evaluation, seven students for small group evaluation, and 30 students for field trials. The data were obtained using a questionnaire through the validation of material and media experts and student responses to the media that was developed in terms of instructional, material, display and programming aspects. The data were analyzed using the quantitative descriptive analysis. The results show that the aspect of instruction and the material of the developed multimedia are good (M=4.17 and M=4.18) based on the material expert assessments. Then the developed aspects of display and programming are also considered good (M = 4.15 and M = 4.18) after examined by media expert assessment. For the field trial assessments, four aspects of the developed multimedia are good (M = 4.12 for the instruction, M = 4.10 for the material, M = 4.07 for the display, and M = 4.12 for the programming). The results of this study suggest that the developed multimedia for Arabic language learning is feasible to use for the tenth year students of Madrasah Aliyah.
