Konsep Barakah dalam Tradisi Pendidikan Islam

Abstract


This article aims to explain the concept of barakah in the tradition of Islamic education. Traditions are always transmitted and taught from generation to generation. Tradition is a social heritage that survives from the past which still has strong ties to life in the present. The concept of barakah meets all Muslim activities. Barakah is the main motive for a Muslim to work and strive in political, social, and economic fields. The theory of educational factors is used to see the concept of barakah in the Islamic education system. The result is that the concept of barakah stirs every component in Islamic education including educators, students, materials, methods, and educational evaluations. As a culmination, barakah in education is believed to be able to change lives, as long as a student is serious about getting blessings from his teacher which will be a guarantee that this blessing will lead him to become a pious person or a prosperous person.
